Zhangfan Cao is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Accounting at the Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) China. Zhangfan received his Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Edinburgh and was a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. 

His research focuses on market-based accounting research, corporate finance and governance, supply chain finance, Environment, Society and Governance (ESG), and capital market. He has published in ABS-listed 3 and 4-star journals including British Accounting Review, Corporate Governance: An International Review, Financial Management, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Regional Studies among others.
