Dr. Sze Shin Low is the Assistant Professor in the Division of Life Science & Healthcare at China Beacons Institute, University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China. She completed her BSc (Hons.) in Plant Biotechnology (2012) at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, where, she also completed her PhD (2018) on developing graphene/zinc oxide nanocomposite as a versatile platform for electrochemical-based genosensor. In addition, she has received postdoctoral training (2018-2021) at Zhejiang University, focusing on the fabrication of smartphone-based portable biosensing system for microRNA detection. Her present research focuses on the design and development of portable sensitive biosensing platform for early detection and effective disease diagnosis. Other present research involves the application of microalgae technology for environmental monitoring, remediation and value-added product generation.
