Personal profile
Professor Jun He obtained his doctoral degree from the National University of Singapore in 2009. From 2009 to 2010, he worked as research fellow at the Singapore-Delft Joint Research Centre. In 2010-2011, he served as a R&D Researcher at Siemens Global Environmental Research Centre. At the end of 2011, he joined UNNC and has been working there ever since. His research focuses on the fundamental research in environmental chemistry and applications of new energy and environmentally friendly catalytic materials. To date, he has led or participated in more than twenty research projects, including the NSFC, Zhejiang Provincial Innovation Team Project, Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation Key Project, Ningbo Municipal Innovation Team, Ningbo 2025 & 2035 Major Projects, Ningbo Municipal Key Commonweal Project, and Municipal Natural Science Foundation projects. He has published over 150 SCI papers, with representative works appearing in internationally renowned journals such as Nature Communications, Angewandte, Advanced Functional Materials, Carbon Energy, Applied Catalysis B, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Journal of Hazardous Materials, etc. His work has attracted more than 6100citations on Google Scholar, with an H-index of 44, among which there are 4 highly cited papers and one hot paper by ESI, and one secondary cover article. Additionally, he holds six grated invention patents and has supervised over twenty postgraduate students to successful completion at the doctoral and master's levels. Professor He has received several awards, including the Outstanding Ph.D. Award from the Singapore World Future Foundation, the Outstanding Researcher Award from the British Council, and the Distinguished Young Scientist in Frontiers of Engineering (CAE) in China. He has been selected as a leading and top-tier talent in Ningbo and a young academic leader in Zhejiang Province. He serves as an expert reviewer for key research programs and talent projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology and dozens of provincial Dept. Sci & Tech. Professor He’s team is rooted in applied basic research and has deeply integrated into collaborative research with local companies such as Geely Automotive Research Institute and enterprises producing industrial and automotive catalysts.
