Dr. Lim Kian Ming received his Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) in Information Systems Engineering, Master of Engineering Science, and Ph.D. in Information Technology from Multimedia University in 2004, 2011, and 2017, respectively. He began his career as an IT executive at Softmy Technology Sdn. Bhd. in 2004 before transitioning to academia in 2005 as an Assistant Lecturer at Multimedia University's Faculty of Information Science and Technology. Dr. Lim's academic journey includes promotions to Lecturer in 2011, Senior Lecturer in 2021, and Associate Professor in 2023. He currently holds the position of Associate Professor within the School of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.

His research interests include machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, few-shot learning, and generative AI. His scholarly contributions include over 100 peer-reviewed publications in computer science. He has also been dedicated to the mentorship of students. To date, he has supervised 16 postgraduate students.

Dr. Lim is actively seeking dedicated and motivated Ph.D. candidates and is enthusiastically open to research collaborations.
