Abstract

This paper aims to study the braking control strategy of an Electro-Mechanical Hybrid Braking system for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs). In this work, an HEV electro-mechanical hybrid braking system control strategy of braking force distribution was proposed. The layout of the hybrid braking system was introduced. Comparative simulations were carried out to validate the performance of the proposed control strategy. The simulation results indicate that the proposed strategy can further improve the efficiency of regenerative braking and guarantee the braking performance on different road conditions.
