Personal profile

Zhuang Xu received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, NSW, Australia, in 2006. From 2001 to 2005, he was with the Energy System Group, University of New South Wales. In 2006, he was an associate professor with the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China.
He is currently an associate professor with the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, University of Nottingham Ningbo China, Ningbo, China. He is a member of the Power and Energy Society, in 2017. His research interests include power electronics and high-performance electrical drives. He was a recipient of three best paper awards from the Annual Conference on the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, in 2004, the IEEE International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems, in 2010, and the IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics and ECCE Asia, in 2011, respectively.
