Nadia M. L. Tan is an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Science and Engineering at University of Nottingham Ningbo China. She is also a member of the Power Electronics, Machines and Control Research Group that aims at research excellence in Power Electronics Systems, Electrical Machines, Electric Motor Drives and Systems, and Power Electronics Integration.

Her research interest includes power conversion systems for renewable energy and battery energy storage in grid-connected and electric vehicle applications, and improving the performance of bidirectional isolated dc-dc converters.

Prior to this, Dr. Tan has at least 16 years teaching experience in higher education institutions. She also has 10 years of research and postgraduate supervision experiences. She has been invited as a guest speaker in higher education and professional institutions and conferences in Malaysia, Japan, Korea and China.
