Abstract
The combination of arterial coordination and actuated control of single intersection has become a fascinating control pattern. Because coordination is usually implemented along the main road which has bus lanes, it requires active signal priority strategies with a stable cycle length. Taking the real key intersections on artery as the subject, the TSP controlling logics with specific restrictions are realized by the VISSIM-VAP module. Through simulation analysis, the effect of TSP strategies with flow variation on optimal cycle is discussed, together with a reasonable way to select gap time and priority phase's initial green. The results show that under special flow combination, increasing the cycle time generated by traditional TRRL approach can obtain some extra benefits. And the volume condition has a bearing on both gap time and TSP phase's initial green time. Besides, the efficacy of early green is slightly better than green extension strategy by comparison.
