Abstract

This paper presents the experimental results of ultra-high power narrow band tuning Distributed Bragg Reflector (DBR) lasers for telecom applications. Tuning range is about 8 - 10 nm, maximum output power is above 100 mW, Side Mode Suppression Ratio (SMSR) is around 55 - 60 dB, Relative Intensity Noise (RIN) is < -135 dB/Hz, and linewidth is between 2.5 MHz and 5 MHz.
