Abstract

The advent of digital inclusive finance has reshaped the landscape of financial services, offering unprecedented access to financial products for previously underserved populations. This study investigates the impact of digital inclusive finance on export, particularly focusing on how digital financial tools empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in emerging economies to engage in international trade. Using a multi-region panel dataset, we employ an econometric framework to analyze the correlation between the penetration of digital financial services and export volumes. Our findings suggest that digital inclusive finance significantly enhances export capabilities by reducing transaction costs, improving access to credit, and mitigating informational asymmetries in international markets. The coverage breadth has the greatest impact among the secondary indicators of digital inclusive finance. Furthermore, the study examines the role of financial constraints and innovation in mediating the positive effects of digital financial inclusion on export performance. The implications of this research are critical for policymakers and financial institutions aiming to foster economic growth through digital financial inclusion and international trade facilitation.
