Abstract
Pumiliotoxins and allopumiliotoxins, natural alkaloids separated from Dendrobate poison frogs, such as Dendrobates pimili, have attracted more and more interest of organic chemists. This article summarizes the syntheses of pumiliotoxin and allopumiliotoxin alkaloids, especially the total syntheses of pumiliotoxin 251D, in terms of the core skeleton construction.
