Abstract

In the last fifteen years or so, Process Synthesis has been an increasingly active area of research. Many different approaches and technologies have been developed and have matured within that era. In 1994, Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation recognized Process Synthesis as one of the core technologies within the Production Technology and Engineering Center. Since then, we have continuously applied this technique to many studies. Most importantly, we very carefully studied the integration of this technology with others and the necessary environment to maintain and enhance the development of this technology. In this paper, we would like to share our approach and experience on this subject.
