N2 - This paper presents a novel error concealment algorithm for H.264/AVC, using a regression model constructed according to the spatial relationship between the block locations and their local motion activities. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm achieves significant PSNR improvement over the existing methods. Moreover, the implementation of the proposed algorithm is very simple and therefore it can be readily applied to video applications running on various consumer electronic devices, including mobile devices.
