Abstract

Electrification of the transportation has become one main effective solution to cope with the deteriorating environment and limited natural resource. As one of the most important part for the electric vehicles, the efficiency and performance of the electrical machine and its drive are always focused by researchers and industry worldwide. In order to improve the efficiency and performance, advanced and robust methods are preferable in the design process. This paper gives a general view for the design of an interior permanent magnet synchronous machine and its control. Simulation results are presented to prove the effectiveness of the design.
