abstract = "With the development of economy and the improvement of people's living standards, healthcare has been paid more and more attention. The medical device industry is an indispensable part of the healthcare industry. When people get sick, they might use the Internet to consult about their illness. As a result, online data can be a good indication of how people feel about the healthcare industry. Therefore, we are building a demand forecasting approach for medical device with the help of search engine index to improve efficiency of healthcare supply chain. We first conduct a literature review about healthcare supply chain, the application of search engine index on demand forecasting approach. And then, we analysis the role of online data in healthcare industry. Finally, we build a demand forecasting approach of medical device with the help of online big data. We contribute to the knowledge by investigating the role of online data in improving the efficiency of healthcare industry. We will also figure out how to use online data to assist the operation of healthcare supply chain.",
