Abstract
Graphene has been regarded as a suitable material for use in advanced electrochemical applications. The mechanical strength, facile fabrication abundance, and electrochemical characteristics make it desirable materials for charge storage-generation applications. The tunable sp2-sp3 hybridization and unique 2D morphology make it suitable to be applied as anode and cathode simultaneously in electrochemical devices. Due to it's commercial potential, much research has been undertaken to synthesize graphene. This chapter provides an overview of graphene extracted from biomass sources.
