N2 - The problem of “The lion and The Man” was first proposed by Rado in 1925 and solved by Besicovitch. Following Besicovitch’s work, many variants and generalizations of this game have been studied in the literature. It is the subsequent breakthrough by Isaacs, who proposed the Homicidal Chauffeur game, that is well-known in the differential game community. To celebrate the forthcoming 100th anniversary of the Lion and the Man problem, we would like to propose a special issue of Dynamic Games and Applications, dedicated to pursuit-evasion games and its applications in sciences and engineering.
