Before joining as Assistant Professor at Bangor University, UK in 2011, she worked on the International Standardisation in the British Broadcasting Corporation, London, UK; Postdoctoral research at Imperial College, London, UK; the European Framework Programme-6 Project coordinated by Fraunhofer Institute, Germany; the China Major State Research Development Programme 973 Project in the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. She Received PhD in Signal & Information Processing from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China in 2005.
