Personal profile

Yilong Yang is a Japanese language tutor at the Language Centre and has been serving as a senior tutor of the department since Spring 2021. Before joining UNNC, he worked with JFL, CFL, and Japanese and Chinese heritage learners in the United States, and with EFL learners in China.

Yang has a BA with honors from Vassar College, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa; an MSc with distinction from the University of Oxford; and an EdM from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He spent his third year of college at Waseda University, where he received training in Japanese language and linguistics.
