Sung-Hugh Hong is an assistant professor in building physics at The University of Nottingham Ningbo China. During the last 15 years, his research focused in building energy performance, thermal comfort and hygrothermal environment. He has provided research based consulting services for clients such as the English Heritage, Energy Saving Trust, The National Archives and the Korean Olympic Committee.
With degrees and work experience in both architecture and building science, he has taught architectural design as well as building science at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University from 2013 to 2016. These dual qualifications enabled him to turn around the least popular building physics modules in the architectural department into the two most popular in 2015.
Monitoring and modelling building indoor environment and energy performance.
