Ms Roser Cervera is a plurilingual educator with over 25 years of experience in teaching, training, and leading across various levels, institutions, and locations. Her diverse and interdisciplinary educational background spans many aspects of the humanities, from languages and cultures to music, leadership, and digital pedagogy. She is currently the Director of the Language Center and Digital Learning and Information Officer at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China. She has been using and exploring innovative tools, resources, strategies and pedagogies to improve language teaching and learning and enhance the learning outcomes and student experiences in Higher Education since 2007. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has completed several professional development courses and certifications on entrepreneurship, innovation, intercultural communication, EDI, leadership, music, holistic medicine, Educational Technology, AI, and foreign languages and cultures. She collects “Le Petit Prince” (The Little Prince) book in different languages to help preserve endangered languages and promote diversity, inclusivity and cultural and linguistic awareness. She is always eager to learn, grow and share her knowledge and expertise with the wider community.
Research Interests
Roser Cervera’s current research interests focus on modern languages and cultures, teacher education and professional development, digital pedagogies, leadership, and effective use of EdTech and AI to enhance teaching and learning and classroom pedagogy, particularly in EMI Higher Educational contexts.
