Research activity per year
I am a member of IEEE and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. I am also a senior member of the China Computer Federation (CCF) and served as Vice Chairman (2023-2024) and as a member of the Hangzhou Academic Committee (2022-2025) of the Young Computer Scientists & Engineers Forum (YOCSEF) under the CCF. Furthermore, I am a member of the Supervision Committee of the CCF Hangzhou Executive Committee and a member of the Hangzhou Western Returned Scholars Association. I am honored to have been recognized as an outstanding teacher at the city level in the Hangzhou education system for the year 2023. I also served as the primary mentor, guiding teams to achieve 8 national-level awards and 15 provincial-level awards in competitions. Furthermore, I have received the title of Excellent Class Adviser three times and maintained an excellent annual assessment for five consecutive years (2019-2023). My current teaching responsibilities include teaching Computer Fundamentals (COMP1036) to undergraduate students and Designing Intelligent Agents (COMP4125) to postgraduate students. My research interests encompass (hyper/meta)heuristics, evolutionary computation, and artificial intelligence. As the principal investigator, I have attracted a total of 1,672,000 RMB in funds, of which 1,572,000 RMB have been received. Prior to my academic career, I worked as an officer at State Street Technology Zhejiang Co., Ltd (State Street Corporation Technology Center) for over two years, and I also served as a development engineer at Zhejiang Insigma Hengtian Software Co., Ltd. for more than a year. I initially worked as a consultant for State Street Corporation from February 2006 and later transitioned to a full-time employee in April 2007. During my time there, I was honored with the GIS/Global Integration Group Award at State Street Corporation.
