Elimination of various types of heavy metals using bio-based composites; Study of in-depth mechanisms where non-metal active functionalities coordinate with heavy metals active sites; Degradation of emerging organic contaminants through advanced oxidation; Design of a competitive system for highly efficient wastewater treatment by utilizing waste control by the waste system; Explore the natural fate/attenuation of co-existing contaminants in polluted water bodies; Study on e-waste in the regime where toxic contaminants and nano-, microplastics begin to leach into the aquatic environment.
