Dr Alfred Bu is an Assistant Professor in Accounting at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC). He holds a PhD in Accounting from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia, and is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) in Australia as well as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) in the UK.

Dr Bu’s research interests focus on audit quality and fair-value accounting, and his work has been published in several academic journals, including Accounting and Finance, Journal of International Accounting Research, and Pacific Accounting Review. At UNNC, he is the module convener for taxation modules and co-teaches other accounting modules. He is committed to delivering innovative, student-centred teaching that bridges theoretical concepts with professional practice to engage students effectively.
