Personal profile

Alain Chong was born in London and grew up in Malaysia and Indonesia. He attended North Jakarta International School (NJIS), British International School (BIS), and Jakarta International School (JIS) from 1992 to 1998. After completing a post-doctoral research fellowship at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, he joined the University of Nottingham Ningbo China as an assistant professor, later advancing to associate professor and then full professor in information systems. He is currently the Vice Provost for Global Engagement and Partnerships. Previously, he served as the Dean of the Graduate School and Global Engagement at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
