Abstract

The performance of RTM process and 2D braided composites of bismaleimide resin was studied. It is found that not only there is a low viscosity but also this low viscosity can be retained in a long time, the performance of RTM process of bismaleimide resin is very excellent. In addition, the mechanical properties of BMI matrix 2D braided composites are different in different directions. The maximum value will appear about on the braided angle. Analysis shows that traditional test is not very appropriate to evaluate mechanical properties of 2D braided composite.
