Abstract

This paper is concerned with the problem of reliable LQG controller design for linear systems with sensor failures. A more practical model of sensor failures than outage is adopted. A procedure of designing reliable LQG controllers is presented in terms of stabilizing solutions of three coupled Riccati equations. The resulting control systems are guaranteed to be robustly stable and with a known cost bound on the LQG cost against to sensor failures.
