Abstract

The problems existing in application of derivative reconstruction method were discussed in this paper. Some measures were taken so that the improved method can be efficiently used to reveal the chaotic characteristics of systems. Furthermore, the improved derivative reconstruction method was applied to chaotic study of the circulating fluidized bed. The chaotic characteristic of the cluster motion in the circulating fluidized bed was also revealed. Thus the improved derivative reconstruction method will provide a more efficient tool for chaotic study of fluidized beds.
