Abstract

It is profitable to use inhibitor to control metals corrosion. However, beside cost-effectiveness and inhibition performance, the modern-day corrosion inhibitor is expected to be friendly to the human life and the natural environment. This chapter discusses the corrosion inhibition performances of some groups of compounds deemed to be environmentally friendly. Specifically, the natural polymers and amino acids are considered as the promising eco- friendly metals corrosion inhibitors for the future.
