Abstract
According to a recent survey on DSS, graphics and simulation are the two most frequently used techniques in DSS building. With the rapid advancement of computer technology, especially computer graphics, a new type of simulation, namely visual interactive simulation (VIS), has been developed and used in simulation-based DSS. This paper compares VIS with traditional simulation in the context of decision support.
