Abstract
SrCrO4 crystallizes in monoclinic space group P21/n and under static air exhibits a low total conductivity (1.8 × 10-4 Ohm-1× cm-1 at 800 °C). Composites fabricated from La0.58Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3 perovskite and SrCrO4 remain two phases after heating at 900 °C for a short period of time. Model experiments were carried out to identify an influence of current load on the stability of SrCrO4 surface layer and redistribution of chromium between the surface and volume of cathode, thereby giving insight in to the mechanism of Cr-poisoning of Co-containing perovskite cathodes.
