Abstract
The article holds the view that the Museum Cultural and Creative (MCC) product design stems from the product design of the National Goods Movement in the 1920s-1930s and souvenir design in the beginning decade of the 21st Century. The author divides the MCC industry development history into 3 periods: the past, the present, and the future. Subsequently, based on this division, the conclusion of historical experience from the practice in each period is conducted. After the review of historical documents, the paper clarifies the mission and responsibility derived from the predecessors of today’s MCC co-workers. Last but not the least, to fulfill the cultural governance goals, the author puts forwards a systematic framework of MCC which is a response to the mission and the duty the author concluded.
