My specific research areas include mobile experience, mobile storytelling, mobile health communication, mobile learning, mobile for sustainable development goals, and the impact of mobile media, mobilities, and mobile communications on global societies.

My professional services include serving as the editor-in-chief of an IGI Global book series Advances in Wireless Technologies and Telecommunications (AWTT), which has published 81 volumes, the founding chair of the annual Mobile Studies Congress, and the organiser of the annual Mobile Studies Summer School. 

I am the founder of Mobile Studies International, a global community of scholars, professionals and policy-makers who are interested in studies of mobile media, mobilities, and mobile communication, and the founder of Mobile518, a Singapore-based mobile consulting firm.
