Macroeconomic management in sub-Saharan African countries (optimal macroeconomic policies - fiscal and monetary policy - and the business cycle), Agricultural Economics (price distortions - associated with exchange rate and trade policies - and agricultural exports), foreign Aid incentive issues, China-Africa Economic issues, applied Time-Series Econometrics, and also Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.

Personal profile

Dr Nana Kufuor received a BSc in Agricultural Economics (with first-class) from the University of Ghana, an MSc in Economics and Policy (with distinction) from Wageningen University, and a second MSc in Economics for Development from Oxford University. He then completed his PhD in Economics at the University of Nottingham, UK. Previously, he worked as a part-time lecturer at Nottingham Trent University. In the process, Dr Kufuor taught modules in mainstream economics, business economics, development economics, public economics, econometrics and quantitative methods. His creative, enthusiastic and engaging teaching approach has won him consecutive awards for teaching excellence, including Staff Oscars, Lord Dearing Award, Vice Chancellor's Medal and two UK Economic Society Awards for Teaching Excellence.
