Professor Jing Dai is a Professor in Operations Management. She is the recipient of the Excellence Research Award at Iowa State University, the USA where she earned a PhD in Supply Chain Management. Prior to joining NUBS, she was an assistant professor at Western Connecticut State University, USA and a research fellow at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Her research interest is in the fields of Green Supply Chain Management and Sustainability, and Supply Chain Digitalization. Professor Dai has published her research in leading journals such as Journal of Operations Management, Decision Sciences, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Industrial Marketing Management, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Business Logistics, Journal of Business Research, Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, among others. Professor Dai received the 2012 Best Paper Award in the Journal of Operations Management.
She was awarded two National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Grants as principal investigator and other external grants as well. In 2017, she was appointed as the Committee Member of Special Interest Group on "Sustainable Supply Chain Management” of Academic Department of Economics and Management, Chinese Associate of Automation. In 2019, she was appointed as the Expert Committee Member of the Ningbo Municipal Commerce Bureau “Supply Chain Innovation and Applications Committee".
Professor Dai is the course leader of the first batch provincial first-class course “Introduction to Management Science for Business Decisions”. She is also a supervisor for PhD students.
