Dr Bo Li received his PhD in Civil Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2014. He worked as a Research Associate in the same university and then as an Engineer/Senior Engineer in a research institute in Hong Kong. He joined UNNC as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering in August 2016. He was promoted to Associate Professor in Structural Engineering in August 2020.
Dr Li has conducted fundamental experimental and analytical research on the behaviour of reinforced concrete structural components, development of green construction materials, and structural application of innovative materials. His recent research interests include: reinforced concrete beam-column joints, shrinkage of alkali-activated materials, treatment of recycled aggregate concrete, and fabric reinforced cementitious matrix.
Dr Li has been awarded research grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China, Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China, and Ningbo Science and Technology Bureau. He has published over 30 SCI journal papers in the field of civil engineering. He also serves as a reviewer for over 20 international journals, including Engineering Structures, ACI Structural Journal, ACI Material Journal, Thin-Walled Structures, Journal of Constructional Steel Research, Construction and Building Materials, and Advances in Structural Engineering.
