Abstract

This chapter showcases a selection of images of archaeological sites, historical objects, artworks, and buildings that provide a fascinating entry into the history of Eurasia. These illustrate some of the surviving material culture of the silk roads, from the first millennium BCE to the present, comprising evidence of the rich exchanges between the peoples of Africa, Asia, and Europe.
