Abstract
This chapter explores how generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) can be integrated into teacher education, emphasizing its potential to enhance the pedagogical skills of pre-service and in-service teachers. By reviewing recent literature and research, we identify effective strategies for incorporating AI tools into educational practices. The chapter discusses the importance of AI literacy and critical reflection in addressing the challenges of multilingual classrooms. It also provides practical recommendations for professional development programs that give teachers the competencies they need to leverage the capabilities of AI and thrive in the modern educational landscape.
