Abstract

Most of signal injection methods have not taken the iron loss resistance effect into consideration, which causes the accuracy issues for the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) online identification. Therefore, this article proposes the equivalent impedance model of high-frequency (HF) small signal injection considering the parallel of iron loss resistance. This model can obtain the d-/q-axes inductance values of interior PMSM (IPMSM) with high precision simply and quickly. At the same time, the stator resistance and PM flux can be accurately obtained by forgetting factor recursive least-squares (FFRLS) algorithm using the method of dead time compensation of inverter proposed in this article. Finally, a 2.2-kW IPMSM prototype is used for experimental verification, and the experimental results show that the proposed identification method exhibits an excellent accuracy under different working conditions.
