Abstract
In this paper, we proposed a log-based synchronization mechanism for SQL and NoSQL databases. The log-based synchronization mechanism uses binary log to capture the changes of data and has features of reordering out-of-order data and monitoring synchronization status. The synchronization mechanism reduces the cost of conversation to use NoSQL database. We have proposed a mechanism to determine the blocking time and an algorithm to determine if the data are in the same section. We have evaluated the system performance and data reordering rate. With the synchronization mechanism, we can provide a hybrid database that consists of SQL and NoSQL databases.
