Abstract

This paper critically analyses neoliberal education policies, prioritizing market efficiency over ecological stewardship and social responsibility. This article argues that the resultant market-driven focus in educational leadership necessitates a transformative shift. A model emphasizing sustainability, civic duty, social justice, and community engagement is proposed, alongside practical strategies for integrating ecological literacy, ethical decision-making, and collaborative practices within educational institutions. The timely call for this paradigm shift is central to the article's significance, addressing urgent ecological and social challenges through responsible stewardship. This research contributes to the growing body of literature calling for transformative change within education.
