N2 - With the global trend of population ageing, young generation's intention of caring older adults is important. Based on stimuli-organism-response theory, this study investigates the role of technology-enabled learning in improving young people's intention of caring older adults through enhancing their empathy. Experimental design was adopted with 112 young adults who participated in different intervention groups to learn about older adults' daily life. The results show that simulation learning has a positive effect on empathy for older adults. Hybrid learning approach including cognitive and simulation learning is most effective in improving empathy, which in turn enhances intention of caring older adults. This study is expected to contribute to literature pertaining to technology-enabled learning and intention of caring older adults by unraveling the influencing mechanism.
