Development of multifunctional composites for aerospace application

Abstract

Motivated by technological challenges and R&D trend in composite materials and process engineering for aerospace application, in this chapter, we introduce several multifunctional composites with not only basic mechanical function, but also other functions, including improved interlaminar toughness, high electrical conductivity, adequate lightning strike protection performance, and outstanding sound absorption ability.
