Abstract

RIS enhances network coverage, improves receiver SNR, and addresses Doppler effects in highly mobile transceivers, making it appealing for vehicular communication. However, signal attenuation due to double-fading within the RIS module poses a challenge. To overcome this, we investigate active RIS-assisted vehicular communications and provide a closed-form expression for coverage probability.
