Abstract

As the famous French adage of aœPlus ca change, plus caest la meme chosea? says, the feeling that the more changes we see the more it stays the same seems to be particularly true for humanitarianism. Many times, over the past decades, spokespersons of humanitarianism vowed to fundamentally reform their sector in the face of major world events. The Conclusion discusses how the contributions gathered in this volume analyses the ability of the humanitarian field to change and reform and the perspectives for structural transformation in the future, considering recent initiatives to reduce hierarchies and exclusion in humanitarian governance.
