Abstract

A differential power divider based on the Defected Ground Structure (DGS) operating at S-Band is developed. A novel DGS structure is proposed and its performance in the power divider is analyzed using a 3D full-wave simulator. The DGS structure can eminently realize miniaturization by comparing the operating frequency with the one without DGS and the one using conventional DGS. The return loss of the proposed power divider is below -10dB from 2.12 GHz to 2.55 GHz with a bandwidth of 0.43 GHz. The differential characteristic in each output port of the power divider is also validated by a number of voltage monitors. It is of great value in full-wave rectifiers.
