Abstract

A full-wave bridge rectifier with high conversion efficiency and high input range is proposed. A power dividing network is used to handle the low reverse breakdown voltage of Schottky diodes to achieve high input power. The defected ground structure is used to increase the coupling coefficient of the power-dividing network. The power-dividing network couple the input RF power into four differential-type bridge diodes. A full-wave simulator is used to examine the performance of the divider. The bridge rectifier is developed to handle up to 43dbm input power before reaching the breakdown voltage. The conversion efficiency is more than 72% when the input power ranges from 35-40dbm.
