Project Details

Description

Proposed by Dr. O’Young in 2025, this industry-academia consortium focuses on advancing process systems engineering to develop new processes and resolve technical challenges in existing ones. Core research areas include thermodynamics, reaction systems, separation systems, heat integration, improved experimental methods, modeling, and data analysis. The group aims to build comprehensive databases and knowledge bases, explore modern data-driven tools grounded in physics, and apply findings to real-world industrial problems.
Mission: Support industry in solving processing challenges, advance knowledge in the field, develop better tools (e.g., databases and data-driven methods), and enhance student education.
Vision: Contribute to a greener, healthier world through advanced technologies and sustainable solutions.
Structure: Industry partners join as members to provide funding and guidance. Annual (or semi-annual) consortium meetings will feature research progress reports and industry needs presentations. Board meetings will set research directions for PhD students and postdocs, with additional private meetings as required.
The consortium fosters collaborative, industry-relevant research to drive innovation and societal benefits.
The first three company joining this Consortium are 清泉 and 酶赛 for three years (5w*3 years each) with 长成 for one year (5w), so in total 35W income in three years.
Phase two 氧化科学实验室有限公司Oxidation Sciences Laboratory Limited for three years (5w*3 years each) ; 浙江美源新材料股份有限公司 Zhejiang Amerisource New Material Co., Ltd. for one year (5w), and 万华化学宁波高性能材料研究院Ningbo High-Performance Materials Research Institute of Wanhua Chemical for one year (2w).
