I have published 180+ papers, including 50+ published exclusively in the prestigious journal series of Transportation Research (TR) and IEEE Transactions. I am proud that I have published papers across the entire TR family (A/B/C/D/E/F), 20+ TR C and 10+ IEEE TITS. And, a Correspondence in Nature.

Total citations: 8000+, i10-index: 110+, H-index: 40+. World’s Top 2% Scientists, ranking 67 out of 30,588 global researchers in Logistics & Transportation (23,536 in all fields).

I am an IEEE senior member, and serve as a Senior Editor for IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, a Deputy Editor-in-Chief for IET Intelligent Transport Systems, an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles, an Editorial Advisory Board member for Transportation Research Part C, etc.

My research lies at the intersection of urban mobility, systems engineering, and artificial intelligence, spanning from traditional topics such as traffic flow operations and control, sustainability, and resilience to emerging areas including data-driven modeling, autonomous driving, and large language models.

In particular, I am a pioneer and long-term contributor in AI-driven transportation modeling and AV-empowered traffic mitigation, and an early innovator in generative AI applications in transportation.
