Dr Ying Weng is Professor, Computer Science Course Director in School of Computer Science at University of Nottingham Ningbo. Before joining as Assistant Professor at Bangor University, UK in 2011, she worked on the International Standardisation in the British Broadcasting Corporation, London, UK; Postdoctoral research at Imperial College, London, UK; the European Framework Programme-6 Project coordinated by Fraunhofer Institute, Germany; the China Major State Research Development Programme 973 Project in the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. She Received PhD in Signal & Information Processing from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China in 2005.
